A civilian was killed when the military council forces conducted a bombing raid using paramotors in Ohin village, southern Magway Region’s Myaing Township, according to a representative from the Anyamyay Civil Society Organization. The incident occurred on July 5 at 11:04 AM when two paramotors from the Military Division 101 based in Pakokku dropped two bombs on Ohin village. The attack resulted in the death of a 43-year-old man who was taking shelter among bamboo groves at the time of the bombing.
According to detailed information provided by the Anyamyay Civil Society Organization official, the victim was hiding among bamboo groves in front of his house when he was struck by bomb shrapnel that penetrated through his back. The official explained that the victim likely did not have enough time to reach a proper bomb shelter, which led to his death. The representative emphasized that there were no active battles in Ohin village, nor were there any People’s Defense Force camps in the area. The village was purely a civilian settlement, yet the military council deliberately targeted the area.
Due to the frequent occurrence of such aerial attacks on civilians, revolutionary organizations have strongly urged people to immediately seek shelter in bomb bunkers upon spotting aircraft, paramotors, or drones, rather than staying to observe them. They have also stressed the importance of following air raid warnings promptly and maintaining sturdy bomb shelters for protection. The brutal attacks by military council forces continue to result in civilian casualties and injuries throughout the country, highlighting the ongoing violence against innocent civilians by the military regime.
