Around 10 PM on July 4, military council aircraft targeted and bombed the main hospital, surgical ward near the operating theater, and the agriculture office near Nam Pawt Bridge in Hsipaw town. Local sources confirmed these aerial attacks resulted in significant damage to buildings, though the exact extent of civilian casualties remains unknown at this time, as reported by a resident from Hsipaw.
Similarly, at around 7:30 PM on the same day, the military council launched attacks on Nawnghkio town using Y-12 aircraft, dropping more than 10 bombs while simultaneously conducting heavy artillery strikes. Local sources from Nawnghkio reported that military forces are gradually advancing closer to the town. Between June 24 and July 1, military airstrikes and artillery attacks in Kyaukme, Nawnghkio, and Mogok towns resulted in the deaths of 8 civilians, with others sustaining injuries from these attacks.
The military council’s aerial bombardments have caused extensive damage to Hsipaw Hospital’s surgical facilities, creating widespread fear and concern among local residents.
