The administrator Bo Win Htay of Nga Saung village in Magway Township, who had been forcibly collecting military service fees from civilians, was killed in an attack by revolutionary forces, according to Ko Kan Gyi Maung, the leader of the Magway Guerrilla Force. The incident occurred around 1 PM on July 3rd, when resistance forces ambushed the administrator, who was struck by two gunshots and died. The deceased administrator had been working with the terrorist military council to forcibly collect 20,000 kyats in military service fees from villagers and had forced three villagers to join as new military recruits.
The attack was carried out through a joint operation by the Magway Guerrilla Force, Dragon King People’s Defense Force (Taungdwingyi), and Taungdwingyi Fighter Force (LPDF). The Magway Guerrilla Force leader warned those supporting the military council in the Magway District not to participate in the military’s illegitimate election planned for December 2025, stating that collaborators would be targeted at any time and place if they chose to cooperate with the military council’s activities.
The allied forces have declared their intention to continue fighting until the fascist dictatorship system is completely eliminated. The Magway Guerrilla Force has specifically warned civilians to avoid areas where military council troops are present. The resistance groups continue their defensive operations on behalf of the people in response to the military council’s ongoing violence, oppression, arbitrary arrests, and killings of civilians throughout the country.
