The military council forces forcibly entered houses in Ywa Thit village and looted rice, cooking oil, salt, clothing, and other valuable possessions. As they were leaving the village with the stolen goods, they encountered resistance forces who launched an attack, resulting in a battle. During this engagement, the military council forces suffered numerous casualties according to local sources. The military forces had broken into civilian homes and seized various household items before attempting to leave the area.
Following the battle, the military council forces re-entered Ywa Thit village in retaliation. They vandalized the local Christian church and looted items from within the church building. They also set fire to four houses in the village. This violent action by the military council forces has severely impacted the lives of local residents, who have lost their homes and possessions. Local residents reported that these aggressive actions have destroyed their livelihoods and properties, leaving many families displaced and without shelter. The military’s deliberate targeting of civilian infrastructure, including religious buildings, represents a significant escalation in their campaign of violence against local communities.
