According to a statement from a Pyin Oo Lwin District People’s Defense Force official, the military council’s air force conducted an airstrike on the Union Solidarity and Development Party (USDP) office in Sintguu town, Mandalay Region, around 10 PM on June 29. The attack was carried out by a MIG-29 fighter jet from the Tada-U Air Base. While the USDP party office building was damaged in the aerial attack, it has been confirmed that no civilians were injured in the incident.
According to information released by the Pyin Oo Lwin District People’s Defense Force, the military council attacked their own party office from the air, and this was identified as a deliberately planned strike. The statement warned local residents about the necessity of implementing security measures to protect themselves from military council airstrikes. Additionally, instructions were issued for civilians to stay safely away from military council camps and stationed areas, and to prepare bomb shelters for protection against aerial attacks.
Revolutionary forces have revealed that such aerial attacks by the military council have intensified during the people’s revolution against the coup, deliberately targeting civilian areas. Local residents point out that the military council’s attacks on territories under their own control without any justification further demonstrate their brutality. The People’s Defense Force continues to advise civilians to remain vigilant and maintain necessary precautions for their safety, particularly emphasizing the importance of constructing proper bomb shelters and staying away from military installations.
