Revolutionary forces have carried out a mine attack on the military council’s administrative office in Salin town, Magway Region. The attack took place around 8 PM on June 28th, when resistance fighters targeted the military council’s office with heavy explosives. The operation was jointly conducted by the Salin Urban Guerrilla Force, People’s Defense Force (Temporary), Paukhtaung Health Corps, and the Bamar Army.
While the exact number of military council casualties could not be immediately confirmed, the attack resulted in significant damage to the building structure. The resistance fighters successfully withdrew from the area without any casualties after the operation. According to a representative from the People’s Brotherhood-Salin group, the explosive device was thrown directly into the office building and detonated using a remote-control system.
The People’s Brotherhood-Salin group has stated that these attacks are in response to the military council and police forces’ continued oppression of civilians, including extrajudicial killings, forced labor, and extortion. They have announced that they will continue to target military council offices and personnel who engage in these oppressive activities against the civilian population. The group has issued warnings about future attacks against military council facilities and their subordinate offices.
