
Officials from the Thaung Tha Township Public Movement Committee and Kawlin Township People’s Administration Body have confirmed that houses were damaged when the terrorist military conducted unprovoked aerial bombardments using aircraft and mechanized paratroopers in villages across Mandalay Region’s Thaung Tha Township and Sagaing Region’s Kawlin Township. On June 14th, around 12:55 PM, a fighter jet from Meiktila Air Base dropped two bombs near Yonsein Gyi village in Thaung Tha Township. While no civilians were injured in this attack, several buildings sustained damage.
Subsequently, on June 19th at approximately 3:10 PM, two fighter jets from Meiktila and Tada-U air bases launched rocket attacks on the Yonsein Gyi village area and dropped 300-pound bombs on a brick monastery. The bombing caused explosions near Yaung Sin Oo store’s roadside area, resulting in damage to nearby residential buildings. Additionally, military council troops and militia members stationed at the solar panel factory have been conducting indiscriminate firing of 60mm weapons toward the eastern and northern areas of San Oo village, according to an official from the Thaung Tha Township Public Movement Committee.
Similarly, the terrorist military also conducted aerial bombardments around Shaukpinchaung village in Sagaing Region’s Kawlin Township, as confirmed by officials from the Kawlin Township People’s Administration Body. On June 20th, around 9 PM, a fighter jet from Tada-U Air Base conducted airstrikes near Shaukpinchaung village in eastern Kawlin Township, followed by another aerial attack from a second fighter jet after 9 PM. While these attacks caused material damage, no civilian casualties were reported. A representative from the Kawlin Township People’s Administration Body urged local residents to remain vigilant about security and to continuously monitor news of potential air strikes.
