A military informant named Ko Moe, who had been monitoring People’s Defense Force (PDF) activities in Kyopinkaut Township, Bago Region, was killed in an operation conducted by Battalion 3802 Division 6 Black Dragon (GBK-PDF) of Thayarwaddy District. The incident occurred on June 20 in the evening at Hmanpinhtoo village in Kyopinkaut Township.
The deceased Ko Moe was known for regularly recording video footage of resistance force movements on his mobile phone and sending them to the military council troops. He had been falsely accusing local youth of being PDF members in reports to the military, collaborating with the military to intimidate local residents, and engaging in oppressive behavior against civilians. The PDF forces stated that they took action after thoroughly investigating multiple complaints from local residents.
According to local sources, many young people in the Hmanpinhtoo village tract have been forced to flee due to Ko Moe’s false reports to the military council, identifying ordinary youths as PDF members. He was known to collaborate with military forces to dominate and threaten civilians. Most significantly, he would secretly record videos of PDF forces descending from the Yoma mountain range and transmit this information to military council troops, as reported by local residents who filed complaints against his activities.
Battalion 3802 Division 6 Black Dragon (GBK-PDF) of Thayarwaddy District has announced that they will continue to take action against not only military council troops who harm civilians and revolutionary forces but also military informants. They have issued a strong warning to civilians to completely avoid living or traveling near such individuals.
