
The Burma People’s Liberation Army (BPLA) held its 9th Basic Military Training graduation ceremony in the Ta’ang region of northern Shan State on June 7. The ceremony was attended by prominent revolutionary leaders including Dr. Zaw Wai Soe, Minister of Health and Education from the National Unity Government (NUG), and General Tar Bhone Kyaw, General Secretary of the Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA). Other notable attendees included Khu Ree Tu, Vice Chairman of the Karenni Interim Executive Council (IEC), a commander from the Arakan Army (AA), and the Commander-in-Chief and General Secretary of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA).
The ceremony was also attended by the Vice Chairman of the All Burma Students’ Democratic Front (ABSDF) and BPLA Commander Maung Saung Kha. The allied leaders emphasized the importance of unity among different revolutionary forces for the success of the revolution. They stressed that with coordinated efforts among revolutionary forces, the military dictatorship could be brought to an end quickly. The leaders highlighted the critical nature of cooperation and solidarity among diverse resistance groups in achieving their common goal of ending military rule in Myanmar.
During the graduation ceremony, weapons were distributed to the graduating soldiers, and a new battalion was established for Military Region 203. This graduation ceremony marked an important milestone in enhancing the capabilities of revolutionary forces and expanding their military units. It strengthened the cooperation between revolutionary forces and represented a significant step forward in their efforts to end the military dictatorship. The event demonstrated the growing coordination and organizational capacity of Myanmar’s resistance forces in their struggle against the military regime.
