A military Y12 support aircraft from the Tatmadaw Bridge Head Air Base conducted an airstrike in the Pyinchauk area of Saw Town, Magway Region, resulting in the destruction of one residential house and approximately 80 fuel drums by fire. The incident occurred at 6:35 AM on June 21, when the military aircraft dropped three bombs that struck and exploded in a compound where fuel drums were stored.
According to local sources, there was no active fighting in the area when the sudden airstrike took place. The bombing caused a temporary shelter within the compound and the stored fuel drums to catch fire, but the flames did not spread to other residential buildings in the vicinity. Local residents confirmed that there were no civilian casualties from this attack. The targeted area, locally known as Pyinchauk, is located within the municipal boundaries of Saw Town.
On the same day, the same Y12 support aircraft also conducted approximately ten bombing runs on the western part of Pauk Township in Magway Region. However, detailed information about the extent of damage and casualties from these additional airstrikes remains unknown. The military council continues to conduct frequent airstrikes across various regions, resulting in the destruction of civilian lives and properties. These attacks represent an ongoing pattern of military actions that directly impact civilian populations and their livelihoods in the affected areas.
