
The Daung Nyi Naung Drone Force has confirmed that one military council soldier was killed during a drone attack while troops were bathing in Yaychaung Township, Tanintharyi Region. The incident occurred on May 29 when approximately 70 military council troops, who were heading to reinforce the Win Wa camp in Yaychaung town, had temporarily stationed at the Pyar Phyu Thar monastery. The attack resulted in one soldier’s death and four others being severely wounded.
Following the attack, revolutionary forces conducted a clearing operation of the battle area and seized military equipment. The operation was jointly carried out by Drone Battalion 1814, T-5 Wings, and the Daung Nyi Naung Drone Force. According to the force’s statement, all revolutionary fighters successfully withdrew from the area without sustaining any casualties.
Additionally, another attack took place in Tanintharyi Township of Tanintharyi Region. Around 1 PM on June 17, when a military column of over 100 troops from Battalion 556 reached near the bridge at Ran Pho village, revolutionary forces launched a mine attack. While there were casualties among the military council troops, the exact number could not be confirmed, according to an official from the Bo Karing Force.
The mine ambush was a coordinated effort between the Bo Karing Force, KNLA Battalion 11, Myeik PDF, and PDF Zone 3. All revolutionary forces safely retreated after the operation. The forces are currently investigating the number of military council casualties. The resistance groups continue to maintain their defensive operations while ensuring the safety of their personnel during these strategic attacks against military council forces.
