
A spokesperson from Operation Flame has confirmed that an attack on soldiers emerging from a security bunker at the Htauk Kyant junction in Mingaladon Township, Yangon, resulted in the death of one military personnel. The incident occurred on the evening of June 13, targeting a military security bunker located at the intersection of Road No. 3 and Road No. 7 in Htauk Kyant town.
According to the spokesperson, the operation involved the use of two remote-controlled mines, though only one detonated effectively while the other had a weaker explosion. The attack was carried out when three security personnel from the military bunker emerged outside, resulting in one casualty. The resistance forces are continuing to monitor the ground situation following the attack, and all members involved in the operation have safely returned to their positions. The spokesperson confirmed that their forces remain vigilant in assessing the aftermath of the operation.
The attack was executed by urban guerrilla fighters from Operation Flame (OF), who have declared their commitment to continue their offensive against the military council in collaboration with other Yangon revolutionary alliance groups. Htauk Kyant area is a strategically significant location in Yangon and houses numerous military security installations. The resistance group has emphasized their determination to intensify their operations against military targets while maintaining coordination with allied revolutionary forces in the Yangon region.
