A spokesperson from the Anyarland Combined Forces has confirmed that five military council soldiers were killed during an attack on the military camp in Pyusawthi village, West Mankyunkhan, Pakokku Township. The battle, which occurred on June 10 between 5 AM and 7 AM, saw revolutionary forces led by the Anyarland Combined Forces and Ayeyarwaddy Dragon Force successfully capture three military bunkers. The engagement lasted approximately one and a half hours, with revolutionary forces coming close to completely seizing the camp before being forced to withdraw due to military reinforcements arriving from Beigyi Pyu village and Infantry Division 101 in Pakokku.
During the battle, five military council soldiers were killed and two were wounded, while three revolutionary fighters sustained injuries. The military camp typically maintains a force of over one hundred personnel, including both military council soldiers and Pyu Saw Htee militia members. However, the attack was strategically timed to coincide with reduced troop numbers, as many forces had been deployed on an operation to Pauk Township. The commander of the combined forces explained that while the camp usually maintains full strength, they took advantage of this temporary reduction in forces to launch their attack.
The operation involved the coordination of multiple revolutionary groups, including the Anyarland Combined Forces, Ayeyarwaddy Dragon Force, Border Guard Force, Pakokku People’s Defense Force, youth guerrilla forces led by Ko Yay Kyi and Bala Ni Naung, Youth Group Force, Wolf Guerrilla Force, Myaing Township Force, Storm Guerrilla Force, DYT Guerrilla Force, Bagan 21, Pauk Township People’s Defense Force, Thakin Phoe Htay Gyi Force, Myanmar Revolution Force, and People’s Liberation Organization. The Anyarland Combined Forces leader emphasized their primary objective of eliminating Pyu Saw Htee militia camps and military council outposts in the region, while expressing gratitude to the local civilians who continue to support their resistance efforts.
