
A spokesperson from the Shwe Nyar Myae PDF has confirmed that an attack on military council troops stationed at the District Fire Station in Pakokku, Magway Region, resulted in 5 casualties and 5 injuries among military council forces. The clash, which began at 3:30 AM on June 1st, lasted approximately 30 minutes.
During the engagement, resistance forces had to withdraw strategically without casualties when reinforcements arrived from Military Division 101 and its subordinate camps in Pakokku. The operation was jointly carried out by Shwe Nyar Myae PDF, Pakokku PDF Battalion 1, Border Guard People’s Defense Force, and Myaing PDF Battalion 3 Division 4.
Following the clash, a Shwe Nyar Myae PDF official urged residents of Pakokku to maintain a safe distance from military council camps, troops, and Pyu Saw Htee members for their safety. Local residents report that military council movement in Pakokku has increased, necessitating heightened vigilance among the civilian population.
