A military outpost of the terrorist army in Htanpinkone village, Htawkho Township, Bago Region, was attacked resulting in the death of eight junta soldiers and the complete destruction of the camp by fire, according to an official from the Underground Guerrilla Force Unit 4, Battalion 3802 of Thayarwady District. The attack began at 6 AM on May 25 when revolutionary forces from Battalion 3802’s Unit 4 launched an offensive against the military council troops who had established a position at the Bohlunsu outpost in Htanpinkone village near the Bago Yoma mountain range with more than 30 personnel.
During the battle, heavy and light weapons were exchanged for over three hours. At around 9:30 AM, military council troops from Infantry Battalion 6 provided artillery support to prevent the outpost from falling, forcing the revolutionary forces to temporarily withdraw. Later at 5 PM, the revolutionary forces launched another attack on the military council outpost, resulting in an intense 90-minute battle that led to the death of eight junta soldiers. The military council forces retreated from the outpost while carrying their dead.
During the subsequent area clearance operation, revolutionary forces seized various military equipment and supplies from the outpost, including twelve 60mm mortar rounds, five hand grenades, over 300 rounds of 5.56mm ammunition, five Energa rifle grenades, one rifle, two bags of rice, one barrel of cooking oil, and other military and logistical supplies before burning down the entire outpost. The official from Battalion 3802 further stated that this Bohlunsu outpost was known for committing arrests and killings of local civilians and had been the target of previous attacks by revolutionary forces.
