A spokesperson from the Ayar Daung Force has confirmed that local resistance forces conducted a joint operation against a military council and Pyu Saw Htee camp in Aung Tha Be Village, Pakokku Township, Magway Region. The attack began at approximately 5:00 AM on May 25, targeting a camp occupied by more than 100 military council soldiers and Pyu Saw Htee members. The engagement lasted approximately 15 minutes, and the extent of casualties among the military council forces and Pyu Saw Htee members is still under investigation.
During the battle, it was reported that Infantry Division 101 from Pakokku had reinforced the position. Following the engagement, additional military council forces arrived in three military vehicles with full personnel. The Ayar Daung Force representative revealed that the military council is establishing fortified Pyu Saw Htee camps in the area. The resistance forces are currently facing shortages of weapons and ammunition, and they have called for support from the public in their continuing struggle against the military council forces.
The joint operation involved multiple resistance groups, including the Pauk PDF, Pauk PDF Zone 4, Pauk PDF BLY Guerrilla Force, Pakokku District Mobile Force 5 (Ayar Daung), King Fighter (SGF), and ABSDF Student Army Column 3. During the engagement, one member of the resistance forces sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Reports indicate that the military council forces and their affiliated Pyu Saw Htee groups continue to oppress local civilians in the region, maintaining their campaign of violence and intimidation against the population.
