
A clash occurred between military council troops and revolutionary forces near Kan Ni Pyu Saw Htee village in Myaing Township, Magway Region, resulting in the death of one military council soldier, according to Ko Victor, spokesperson for the Victor Guerrilla Force who participated in the engagement. The conflict began around 7:15 AM on May 14, when revolutionary forces intercepted approximately thirty military council troops who had emerged from their base on the eastern side of Kan Ni Pyu Saw Htee village to search for supplies.
During the engagement, one military council soldier was killed and another was severely wounded. Although the military council forces responded with 60mm and 40mm heavy weapons fire, the revolutionary forces were able to withdraw successfully without sustaining any casualties. The operation was jointly conducted by the Victor Guerrilla Force and the Pakokku District Battalion 2, Branch 2 Upper Land Guerrilla Force. The clash demonstrates the ongoing resistance against military council forces in the region.
Ko Victor, the spokesperson for the Victor Guerrilla Force, urged military council soldiers and armed groups in Kan Ni Pyu village to surrender and enter the legal fold as soon as possible, while also warning local residents in surrounding areas to remain vigilant about military activities. He emphasized that the security situation in the region may become more tense, and therefore local civilians should exercise increased caution in their daily activities. The continued military presence and periodic clashes in the area have created ongoing security concerns for local communities.
