The Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson has announced that Chinese President Xi Jinping has urged Myanmar military council leader Min Aung Hlaing to exercise great caution and act with foresight regarding Myanmar’s political situation. This warning reflects China’s growing concern over the worsening political crisis and armed conflicts in Myanmar. The statement comes at a time when revolutionary forces are increasingly challenging the military council’s control across various regions of the country.
In Bago Region, as revolutionary forces continue their successive offensive operations, the military council has issued an order in all townships under Thayarwaddy District stating that they will shoot at motorcycles carrying two male passengers, citing security reasons. This restriction severely impacts the daily mobility and livelihood activities of local civilians. The military council’s increasingly restrictive measures demonstrate their growing concern over the expanding influence of revolutionary forces in the region.
In Tanintharyi Region, revolutionary alliance forces launched an attack on the Palaw Township Police Station, resulting in the immediate deaths of one police lieutenant and one police officer from the military council’s side, while six other police personnel sustained injuries. This attack demonstrates the increasing military capabilities and operations of revolutionary forces. The revolutionary forces’ offensive operations have been gaining strength throughout the region, gradually liberating territories from military council control. These developments indicate a significant shift in the balance of power in various parts of the country, with revolutionary forces maintaining sustained pressure on military council positions.
