
A civilian was killed in an airstrike conducted by the military council forces on Yay Htut village in Sadaung Township, Mandalay Region, according to a representative from the Pyin Oo Lwin District People’s Defense Force. The incident occurred around 12:30 PM on May 7, when a military fighter jet flying from Tada-U area launched an aerial attack on Yay Htut village.
The airstrike resulted in injuries to 10 civilians, with one man later succumbing to his injuries while receiving medical treatment the following day. Additionally, five civilian homes in the village were destroyed by the bomb explosions. The deliberate targeting of civilian areas through airstrikes has caused significant fear and concern among local residents.
