According to a White House statement released on April 28, photos of 100 immigrant criminal offenders arrested during President Trump’s first 100 days in office are being displayed at the White House, including three Myanmar citizens. During his second term’s first 100 days, President Trump implemented strict policies to arrest criminal offenders among immigrants in the United States. As part of this initiative, photos and criminal records of 100 arrested offenders are being exhibited at the White House.
The arrested Myanmar citizens are Tay Myint, Thang Lam KAP, and Samuel LUNG-Sein. Tay Myint, age 53, was arrested in Texas for aggravated sexual assault of a child and sentenced to 12 years in prison. He was arrested by ICE Dallas on March 3, 2025, and had previously been ordered deported from the country by a US court on January 28, 2019.
The second Myanmar citizen, Thang Lam KAP, was previously sentenced to 7 years in prison for child sexual abuse and was arrested by ICE Chicago on February 17, 2025. The third Myanmar citizen, Samuel LUNG-Sein, was sentenced to 10 years in prison for rape and was arrested by ICE Chicago on February 14, 2025. These arrests were part of the administration’s broader efforts to identify and remove criminal immigrants from the United States during the president’s first 100 days in office.
