Revolutionary forces carried out simultaneous drone attacks on multiple military council positions in Wetlet town, Sagaing Region, targeting a police station, General Administration Office, guard post, and fire station where the military council forces were stationed. The attacks took place around 10 AM on April 25, led by the People’s Servant Revolution – Wetlet in coordination with allied forces. The targeted locations were occupied by approximately 100 personnel including military council troops, police forces, and Pyu Saw Htee members.
During the attacks, staff members and security personnel at the General Administration Office sustained injuries, with possible casualties, though exact numbers could not be immediately confirmed. Reports indicated that Major Thein Win was leading forces stationed at the General Administration Office. The attacking forces included the People’s Servant Revolution Force, Wetlet Township PDF, Lahta District PDF, N Sai Naw Drone Force, Phoenix Winds Drone Force, Sn-Warazein People’s Defense Force, and R Gyi Drone Force. The revolutionary forces successfully withdrew from the operation without sustaining any casualties.
The coordinated drone strikes demonstrated the growing capabilities of resistance forces in conducting precision attacks against military council positions. While the structural damage to the buildings was reported to be minimal, the attacks successfully disrupted military council operations in the area. The military council forces responded with small arms fire, but were unable to prevent the drone attacks. This operation represents another significant action by revolutionary forces in their ongoing resistance against the military council’s control of the region.
