According to local residents and revolutionary sources, at least two civilians were killed and several homes were destroyed due to airstrikes and heavy artillery attacks by the terrorist military council in Taungoo, Pekon, and Tedim townships. On April 9 and 10, the military conducted three airstrikes per day on Kyauk Lone Gyi, Hton Bo, and Onn Chit Pin villages along the Leik Tho-Taungoo road. Additionally, military forces from Than Taung Gyi fired howitzer artillery, resulting in one civilian death in Kyauk Lone Gyi village and the destruction of five homes by fire.
In Onn Thit Pin village, civilian casualties were also reported due to military artillery fire. On April 9, combined revolutionary forces, including Taungoo 3502 Battalion, launched an attack on military troops stationed in Kyauk Lone Gyi village, resulting in significant military casualties and intense fighting. In Pekon Township, located on the border of Karenni State and Southern Shan State, the military conducted an airstrike on Thekyet village at 11:45 PM on April 10, leaving two civilians injured.
The military also launched an airstrike on Mual Beem village in Tedim Township, Chin State, on the morning of April 11, though the exact number of civilian casualties has not yet been confirmed by Chin revolutionary sources. These ongoing military airstrikes and artillery attacks have caused widespread fear among local residents, forcing many to flee their homes and seek safety elsewhere. The continuous assault on civilian areas demonstrates the military council’s disregard for civilian lives and property, as communities across these regions face displacement and destruction of their homes and livelihoods.
