Simultaneously, in Bago Region’s Waw and Shwegyin Townships, revolutionary forces conducted sniper attacks against military council troops, resulting in one death and two injuries among the military council forces, according to a representative from the Taungnyoe Column. On April 7 at around 7:25 AM, resistance forces launched a sniper attack on military council soldiers in Letpan village of Waw Township, wounding two soldiers. Later that evening at 8:00 PM, an engagement occurred with military council troops from Infantry Battalion 598 in Shwegyin Township who were out on patrol, reportedly resulting in military council casualties.
Additionally, on April 9 at 11:00 AM, resistance forces conducted another sniper attack on military council soldiers from Infantry Battalion 598 who were collecting water in Shwegyin Township, resulting in one more casualty. These operations were coordinated efforts between the Taungnyoe Column, Waw Township People’s Defense Force, and Intagaw Township People’s Defense Force.
