Min Aung Hlaing is expected to inspect the Thiri Mingalar Shwechamthar Myataw Pagoda in Hopong, which suffered significant damage during the earthquake, and perform certain ritual ceremonies. A local resident reported that public access to the pagoda has been restricted due to the planned visit. It has been observed that Min Aung Hlaing has been continuously conducting inspection visits to earthquake-affected areas, including Naypyidaw and Mandalay.
According to military sources in Naypyidaw, Min Aung Hlaing’s inspection tours are being conducted while repairs are ongoing at the military headquarters and presidential residence, which were damaged by the earthquake. Local residents have reported experiencing travel restrictions and disruptions to their daily activities due to increased security measures and checkpoints implemented by security forces in preparation for the military council leader’s visit.
