
In Yangon, a mass novitiation ceremony for 5,500 novices was organized as a donation event by military council leader Min Aung Hlaing’s family. While they promised to provide 100,000 kyats per novice, the parents of the novices have revealed that they did not receive any money as promised. The families who attended the ceremony were forced to participate under pressure from the military council, and despite believing in the promised financial support, they did not receive a single kyat in reality.
Relief supplies intended for earthquake-affected residents of Mandalay in the Sagaing Region have been illegally confiscated by ward administration teams under the military council. These administrators have been redistributing the aid materials to their own relatives and associates, according to affected earthquake victims. Instead of reaching the earthquake victims who genuinely need assistance, the relief supplies are being misused for the personal benefit of administrative teams under the military council’s control.
Following the successful capture of Inntaw town in Sagaing Region by the combined forces of the Kachin Independence Army (KIA) and People’s Defense Force (PDF), more than 40 military council soldiers were captured alive during the battle. Additionally, they seized numerous weapons and ammunition, including 120mm artillery pieces. The successful capture of Inntaw town has significantly reduced the military council’s control in the Sagaing Region and has strengthened the military capabilities of the revolutionary forces.
