The Ramanya Column, comprising revolutionary forces, is conducting security checks on highways within Mon State on March 23. The security operations are being carried out systematically to ensure the safety of passengers and cargo vehicles traveling through Mon State. The primary focus of these operations is to prevent the transportation of military council’s weapons and supplies that support the military council’s operations.
The Ramanya Column was established on January 17, 2024, through the unified efforts of the Mon Liberation Army (MLA), Mon National Liberation Army (MNLA-AD), Mon State Defense Force (MSDF), and Mon State Revolutionary Force (MSRF). This coalition was formed with the specific purpose of protecting civilians in Mon State and defending them against the military council’s oppression. The column maintains security checkpoints along major routes throughout Mon State to monitor and control military council movements.
The Ramanya Column operates around the clock to ensure the security of civilians in Mon State, protecting them from military council forces. They work diligently to prevent arrests, torture, and looting by military council troops. Additionally, the column actively disrupts the military council’s troop reinforcements and weapons transportation efforts. Their presence serves as a crucial defensive measure for local communities, ensuring their safety and protection from the military council’s aggressive actions and human rights violations.
