
The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) office located along Aung Mingalar Don Road in Insein Township, Yangon Region, was attacked with a large remote-controlled mine on the evening of March 19. According to a representative from the Rangoon Urban Column, several security personnel were injured in the attack, with those severely wounded being transported to the hospital. The attack occurred around 8:00 PM, targeting the No. 2 Criminal Investigation Department branch office.
Following the explosion, military council forces set up checkpoints along Aung Mingalar Don Road and conducted extensive vehicle searches. A local resident reported that between 8:30 PM and 9:00 PM, military and police vehicles blocked the road while conducting thorough inspections of private vehicles and taxis. The security measures were implemented on both sides of the CID office and the nearby Red Office area, with military council forces maintaining a heavy presence throughout the security operation.
The Rangoon Urban Column has requested residents of Yangon to assist in strengthening ground intelligence by reporting situation updates through their Telegram channel @RUC_info. The organization emphasized the importance of civilian cooperation in gathering accurate ground information. This attack represents part of the ongoing resistance efforts against the military regime, as revolutionary forces continue their operations to dismantle the military dictatorship’s administrative mechanisms throughout the country.
