
Two Myanmar military navy personnel who were injured during an attack on a naval vessel group in Kyunsu Township, Tanintharyi Region, died while being transported to Myeik, according to a representative from the Kyunsu Township People’s Defense Force. The incident occurred on March 13 when resistance forces intercepted and attacked a military naval group near Won Taung village as they were moving from the direction of Myin Twar and Shaw Taw Maw villages. The military naval group consisted of two warships, including Naval Vessel 114, two motorboats, and three smaller fiber boats.
Following the engagement, military council forces attempted to secretly evacuate two injured navy personnel by speedboat to Myeik, but the wounded soldiers died during the journey. A spokesperson from the People’s Defense Force revealed that the military council tried to conceal their casualties from the public by attempting to transport the injured personnel covertly. The attack was carried out by revolutionary forces from the Kyunsu Township People’s Defense Force, resulting in a brief exchange of fire lasting several minutes. According to confirmed reports, the resistance forces successfully withdrew from the engagement without suffering any casualties.
