
According to a senior official from the Bagan People’s Force, a significant battle took place in Nga Tharauk Sub-township of Mandalay Region where revolutionary allied forces successfully encircled and eliminated an entire column of military council troops, resulting in over 70 casualties among the junta soldiers. The resistance forces also seized weapons and ammunition alongside the deceased soldiers’ bodies. Meanwhile, military council leader Min Aung Hlaing has awarded first-class technology excellence awards to Colonel Myat Min Oo, who had previously made false allegations about voter fraud in the 2020 general election. This award ceremony is widely seen as recognition for his role in supporting the military’s pre-planned coup by fabricating electoral irregularities. The military used these false claims as a pretext for seizing power from the democratically elected government.
In a separate incident in Pathein City, Ayeyarwady Region, a man armed with two pairs of scissors attacked the Township Police Station, resulting in injuries to four police officers, including Station Chief Kyaw Zay Latt. The attacker also sustained gunshot wounds during the incident. Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding this attack, though details about the motivation behind the assault remain unclear.
