The military council forces have been conducting arrests targeting not only military and police deserters but also civilians across the country. According to military sources in Naypyidaw, they are specifically using the National Database system to identify and arrest military deserters, police deserters, Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM) staff, and political activists throughout the nation.
In Nga Tharauk sub-township of Nyaung-U Township, Mandalay Region, an entire column of military council forces suffered significant casualties during clashes. Subsequently, when another military council force entered Nyaung-U Township, resistance alliance forces conducted an interceptive attack, resulting in the death of five military council soldiers, as confirmed by a representative from the Bagan Byoe Choe group.
Despite consistently claiming to be the protector of Buddhism, the military council forces conducted an aerial bombing attack on a monastery in Ma Gyi Pin Tae village, Thaung Tha Township, Mandalay Region. The attack resulted in the destruction of monastery buildings and structures within the compound, according to local residents. These actions directly contradict the military council’s claims of protecting Buddhism, demonstrating the disconnect between their statements and actions.
