The terrorist military council has begun implementing a national database system to identify and arrest military deserters, police deserters, Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM) participants, and political activists across the country, according to military sources in Naypyidaw. The system is being used to collect personal information and track down individuals involved in political activities, enabling systematic arrests of civilians opposing the military regime.
In Nga Tharauk sub-township of Nyaung-U Township, Mandalay Region, revolutionary forces successfully attacked and decimated an entire column of the military council troops. Following this incident, when another military council force entered Nyaung-U Township, joint revolutionary forces conducted an interceptive attack, resulting in the death of 5 military council soldiers, as confirmed by a representative from the Bagan Byoe Choe group. These continued resistance operations demonstrate the growing strength of anti-regime forces in the region.
Despite repeatedly claiming to be the protector of Buddhism, the terrorist military council conducted an aerial bombing attack on a monastery in Ma Kyee Pin Tae village, Thaung Tha Township, Mandalay Region, using weaponized aircraft. The attack resulted in severe damage to monastery buildings and structures. This incident clearly demonstrates the military council’s disregard for religious institutions, contradicting their self-proclaimed role as defenders of Buddhism. The attack on the monastery adds to the growing list of religious sites damaged or destroyed by military council forces during their operations against civilian populations.
