The military forces began their operation in Bisapkone village on March 17, using trucks to transport stolen civilian property to Mingya Pyusawthi village.
The military council’s forces have been repeatedly targeting Bisapkone village in the river island area, causing significant losses to local residents’ lives and property. The systematic destruction includes the looting of all civilian property before burning down houses, demonstrating a pattern of organized violence against the civilian population. Local sources report that the military’s actions have left many villagers displaced and their livelihoods destroyed.
Additionally, a military vessel from Pakokku has been reported arriving at Pauktaw port this morning, indicating increased military movement along the Ayeyarwady River. The military council has intensified its operations along the river routes, continuing to threaten and perpetrate violence against local civilians. As a result, residents have been forced to abandon their homes and possessions to seek safety in other areas. The ongoing military operations in the region have created a humanitarian crisis, with civilians facing the loss of their homes, property, and basic security.
