The incident occurred at 3 AM on March 18, when three suicide drones launched by the military council forces exploded near General Saw Johnny’s residence. The explosions did not result in any casualties or property damage.
According to KNU sources, three drone bombs detonated in succession, with explosions powerful enough to cause ground tremors. The first bomb exploded near a waterfront area, while the second detonated near a football field. The military council forces reportedly targeted the KNU Brigade 7 headquarters with these drone attacks. Sources indicated that the explosive power of the bombs used in this attack was notably stronger than in previous attacks.
This attack appears to be a retaliatory action by the military council following the successful capture of their Pu Lu Tu outpost in Paingkyon Township within KNU Brigade 7’s territory by KNLA-led allied forces on March 14. The KNU sources analyzed that the military council’s use of suicide drones targeting the KNU Brigade 7 headquarters was a direct response to their loss of the outpost.
