In the Pyay-Oaktha road section of Pyay Township, Bago Region, a battle between the People’s Defense Force Battalion-3 Alawakar Column and military council troops resulted in seven casualties on the military council’s side. The clash occurred around 8 AM on March 10 at the Tagyoe intersection and lasted approximately one hour. During the battle, despite the military council forces employing heavy weapons and drone support, the revolutionary forces were able to withdraw successfully without casualties, according to the Alawakar Column. In addition to the seven confirmed deaths, two more injured military council personnel are likely to have succumbed to their injuries.
Furthermore, on March 8, the Alawakar Column participated in the successful capture of the military council’s Infantry Battalion 73’s Thyapyaynun outpost. Revolutionary forces also maintained control of the Pyay-Oaktha road section for two days. In Ye-U town, Sagaing Region, another attack occurred targeting a military council convoy. Around 8 PM on March 15, the People’s Defense Force of Ye-U Township conducted a mine attack against three vehicles carrying military council troops who were conducting patrol operations in Bogyoke Aung Zeya Ward.
The attack resulted in the destruction of two military vehicles and caused casualties among the military council troops, though the exact number could not be confirmed. Following the attack, while military council troops responded with small arms fire, the revolutionary forces were able to withdraw safely without any casualties, as confirmed by the Ye-U Township People’s Defense Force. These engagements are part of the nationwide revolutionary movement, with People’s Defense Forces continuing their fight against the military dictatorship system. The ongoing resistance operations demonstrate the persistent efforts of revolutionary forces to oppose the military council’s control across various regions of Myanmar.
