Revolutionary forces launched an attack on military council troops who were burning civilian homes in Ywartha Village on the eastern bank of the Sittaung River in Yedashe Township, Bago Region, resulting in casualties among military personnel, according to Comrade Eve, information officer of the Royal Lightning Force. The confrontation occurred around 7:10 PM on March 13, when over 60 military council troops stationed in Ywartha Village were systematically burning civilian houses, prompting an immediate response from combined revolutionary forces.
The engagement lasted approximately 45 minutes, during which military council troops suffered casualties, though exact numbers could not be confirmed. Revolutionary forces successfully withdrew from the area without any losses. Currently, military council troops remain stationed in Ywartha Village and continue to commit acts of violence against local civilians, according to revolutionary forces. The attack was carried out through coordination between the RTC column, Naypyidaw 801 Battalion, and the Yedashe PDF group led by Bo Mutset.
Comrade Eve, the information officer, revealed that military council troops have intensified their campaign of terror against civilians, employing various tactics including village burnings, looting of valuable property, artillery shelling of residential areas, and increased drone and aerial bombardments. He noted a disturbing trend in the military’s tactics, describing how soldiers appear to have lost all sense of humanity in their operations against civilians.
Furthermore, it was reported that military council troops are being administered stimulant drugs and forced to conduct human wave attacks, particularly affecting young recruits who have been forcibly conscripted under the military’s mandatory service law. These conscripts are reportedly being coerced into taking drugs to carry out brutal operations without conscience. Due to these dangerous developments, local residents are strongly advised to maintain as much distance as possible from military council troops for their safety.
