
The terrorist military forces have killed 17 civilians in Thagong (Ywa Ma) village of Yesagyo Township, Magway Region, according to local sources. Between March 7 and March 12, the military conducted operations in Thagong (Ywa Ma) village, during which they brutally tortured and killed villagers. The bodies were discovered when civilians returned to the village after the military column departed.
U Chit Maung, age 65, from Thagong Lay village, was beheaded and his burned head was placed on a stake. U Than Min Hlaing, age 42, from Thagong (Ywa Ma) village was tortured, killed, and his body was buried. Additionally, U Ohn, age 91, and Daw San Way, age 70, from Thagong (Ywa Ma) village who could not flee and remained in their homes when the military entered, were burned to death. The bodies of two unidentified civilians who were arrested by the military council troops were also discovered.
While stationed in Thagong (Ywa Ma) village, the terrorist military forces looted valuable items including gold and silver from houses, slaughtered and consumed livestock, and many working cattle died due to lack of food and water. In Myay Sone Taw village, the military also arrested and killed several civilians including U Han Tin (over 70 years old), U Htay Myint (60), U Than Mani (88), Daw Than Pyay (60), Daw Hla Ngwe (86), U Kyaw Htay (67), U Aung Myint (69), Ko Thant Zin (35), Ko Aung Linn Naing (40), and from Malaka Chan village, U Nyunt Way (70) and U San Win (50).
