The ongoing conflicts in Kyaukphyu Township have created severe hardships for local residents, with communication systems being disrupted, making it difficult for them to seek assistance. According to a member of the Kyaukphyu Township Association based in Yangon, intense fighting continues in the region, and due to the breakdown of phone and internet services, internally displaced people have lost contact with their relatives who have fled to Yangon. The current security situation makes it extremely challenging to deliver emergency aid to local residents, despite the urgent need for assistance. The disruption of communication networks has effectively isolated the affected communities, preventing them from accessing crucial support and humanitarian aid.
