
Officials from the Yesagyo Township Information Committee have confirmed that additional bodies of civilians killed and burned by the terrorist military have been discovered in Myaysunhtaw village, Yesagyo Township, Magway Region, while military council forces continue their attacks on villages in the area. The military forces entered Myaysunhtaw village in the river island area on March 2nd and proceeded to arrest, burn, and kill villagers. Local residents discovered the bodies of six more victims on March 9th within the village.
The military column has been confirmed to have killed several villagers from Myaysunhtaw village, including many elderly residents. Among the victims were U Han Tin (over 70 years old), U Htay Myint (60 years old), U Than Mani (88 years old), Daw Than Pyay (60 years old), Daw Hla Ngwe (86 years old), U Kyaw Htay (67 years old), U Aung Myint (69 years old), Ko Thant Zin (35 years old), and Ko Aung Linn Naing (40 years old). Additionally, from Malaka Chan village, U Nyunt Way (70 years old) and U San Win (50 years old) were also among those killed.
The military council forces have looted civilian property from Myaysunhtaw village, Malaka Chan village, Ywa Thit village, Zayapni village, and Thagaung Lay village, while also burning down houses in these areas. Currently, the military column is located in Thagaung village in Yesagyo Township. Local residents are unable to access the remaining villages, making it impossible to confirm the full extent of the destruction and whether there are additional casualties. A representative from the Yesagyo Township Information Committee emphasized that they cannot yet verify the complete scope of damage and potential additional killings in areas that remain inaccessible to civilians.
