
A 16-year-old girl was killed when the military conducted an airstrike on a religious compound in Ay Kyin village, Thaung Tha Township, Mandalay Region, according to the Thaung Tha Township Public Movement Committee. The attack occurred around 3:20 PM on March 10th, targeting a monastery compound and dharma hall without any ongoing conflict in the area. One man was also severely injured in the attack and remains in critical condition.
Due to the military’s frequent airstrikes on civilian areas and residential zones, the Thaung Tha Township Public Movement Committee has issued warnings to local residents to immediately seek shelter in bomb shelters when they hear aircraft or drone sounds. The attack caused significant damage to buildings within the religious compound, according to local sources.
