In Longlone town of Tanintharyi Region, revolutionary alliance forces launched simultaneous attacks on three military council positions, resulting in at least ten military council troops being killed and many others wounded. The intensity of the battle forced the navy to provide artillery support from warships, according to the spokesperson of the Longlone Township People’s Defense Force. The coordinated assault demonstrated the growing capabilities of resistance forces in the region and the increasing pressure on military council positions.
In Karen State, resistance forces conducted a drone strike on the opening ceremony of the Gyaing Bridge in Kawkareik Township, where the military council-appointed state chief minister Saw Myint Oo was scheduled to attend. The attack, which occurred before the ceremony could begin, resulted in injuries to several soldiers and disrupted the military council’s administrative functions. This incident has further deteriorated the security situation in the region and highlighted the vulnerability of military council officials and their activities.
