
The Chaung-U People’s Defense Force (CHUPDF) has confirmed that two military council soldiers, including one officer, were killed when revolutionary forces conducted a drone strike on the military outpost in Myapyarlae, Chaung-U Township, Sagaing Region. The attack occurred around 5:30 PM on March 6, when resistance forces precisely dropped two bombs via drone on the military council’s outpost located along the Monywa-Mandalay highway.
During the attack, an artillery commander officer and one soldier who were having dinner inside the Myapyarlae outpost were killed instantly, while five other soldiers sustained severe injuries. The wounded soldiers were evacuated to Monywa city in two armored vehicles around 11:23 PM the same night. The bodies of the two deceased military council soldiers were given a military funeral ceremony inside the Northwest Military Command headquarters at 10 AM on March 7, according to information from revolutionary forces.
In Tanintharyi Region, revolutionary forces also conducted an effective strike. The Taung Pan Ni People’s Defense Force reported that they carried out a precision drone attack on the military council’s Infantry Battalion 588 based in Tanintharyi Township. The operation was jointly conducted by revolutionary fighters from PDF Zone 4 and Zone 5 of Tanintharyi Township on March 1, targeting the military council’s Infantry Battalion 558 compound. While there were likely casualties among the military council soldiers in this attack, the exact numbers could not be confirmed. The revolutionary forces were able to successfully withdraw from the operation without suffering any casualties.
