
On March 8, the ‘Our Village Without Savior’ strike column conducted an anti-military dictatorship protest in Yinmabin Township, Sagaing Region. During the protest, local residents united in their opposition to the military dictatorship, rejection of the military coup, and demand for the restoration of democracy. Protesters peacefully demonstrated while carrying signs calling for the elimination of the dictatorial system, restoration of civilian government, and complete eradication of military dictatorship.
The ‘Our Village Without Savior’ strike column is a people’s defense group fighting against the military dictatorship to protect the lives, property, and security of local residents. They work to prevent and protect against the oppression, arbitrary arrests, killings, and destruction of property that civilians face under military rule. Local people support their activities and work together in unity towards ending the military dictatorship system.
Yinmabin Township is one of the areas in Sagaing Region where anti-military dictatorship activities remain strong. Since the military coup, local residents have consistently fought against the authoritarian system and continue to strive with all their might for democracy, human rights, and the establishment of a federal union system. Despite brutal suppression by military forces, the fighting spirit of the people continues to rise.
