On March 8, the ‘Our Village Without Savior’ strike column conducted an anti-military dictatorship protest in Yinmabin Township, Sagaing Region. During the protest, local residents demanded opposition to the military dictatorship, condemned the military coup, and called for the restoration of democracy. Protesters peacefully marched while carrying anti-dictatorship banners and flags.
The ‘Our Village Without Savior’ strike column has been continuously active in opposing the military dictatorship and fighting for the rights and freedoms of local residents. The group stated that they will continue their struggle to expose to the world the oppression, human rights violations, and economic hardships that people are suffering under military rule, and to achieve justice.
Yinmabin Township has been facing continuous military oppression since the coup. Local residents have been subjected to arbitrary arrests, property confiscation, and violence by the military. However, the people continue to fearlessly oppose the dictatorship and stand united in their struggle for the restoration of democracy.
