The Chinwin Dynamite People’s Defense Force has confirmed successful attacks on military council positions including a police station and administrative office in Salingyi town, Sagaing Region, where approximately 80 military council troops were stationed. The coordinated assault, which took place around 10 AM on March 7, involved the use of 60mm and 80mm heavy weapons. The resistance forces effectively targeted the military installations where the junta forces had established their presence.
Although the military council forces responded with small arms fire, the revolutionary forces were able to withdraw safely without any casualties. The operation was jointly carried out by multiple resistance groups including the Chinwin Dynamite group, Yinmabin District Battalion, Red Wing Special Guerrilla Force, and other allied resistance units. The attack demonstrated the growing capabilities and coordination among various resistance forces in the region.
Simultaneously, resistance forces successfully conducted a mine attack against military council infantry troops returning from patrol operations on the Monywa-Mandalay road. The incident occurred when 23 military council soldiers, who had been providing security for a convoy transporting weapons and ammunition from Northwestern Command headquarters in Monywa to Myapyugyi checkpoint, were returning to their base. The resistance forces deployed Padamya mines in the operation, resulting in significant casualties among the military council forces. The exact number of casualties is still being verified. This coordinated attack was carried out through collaboration between multiple resistance groups including the Chaung-U Township PDF, Special Forces 11-LPDF, and Monywa Dynamite (STF) units, showcasing the increasing effectiveness of joint operations by resistance forces in the region.
