A spokesperson from the 925 Guerrilla Force (Nganzun) has confirmed that military council soldiers were killed in a drone strike on their camp in Htun Tha village, Nganzun Township, Mandalay Region. The attack occurred around 11 AM on March 6, when resistance forces targeted a military council outpost housing approximately 50 personnel with three drone-dropped bombs. The operation was carried out using two fixed-wing drones in a coordinated effort by multiple resistance groups.
The joint operation involved the 925 Guerrilla Force (Nganzun), Nganzun Township PDF, Ayeyarma Python Guerrilla Force, Fight For Freedom Drone Team, and Zeya Shwe Myay Group. While the exact number of casualties among military council forces could not be immediately confirmed, resistance forces reported significant losses on the military side. All resistance fighters successfully withdrew from the operation without any casualties. The military outpost had been a source of ongoing oppression against local civilians in the area.
The resistance forces have warned local residents in Nganzun Township to remain vigilant against potential aerial attacks, as the military council has been conducting frequent airstrikes targeting civilian areas. The military council has established multiple outposts in the region, from which they have been carrying out intimidation and persecution of local civilians. The resistance forces stated that these offensive operations against military council positions are necessary to ensure the safety and security of local residents who have been suffering under military occupation. The successful drone strike demonstrates the growing capabilities of resistance forces in their campaign against military council targets.
