According to his statements, he claimed that economic sanctions would lead to stronger computer software development and increased competition. However, the Secretary of the Interim People’s Council of Myanmar (IPCM), U Toe Zaw Latt, pointed out that these statements demonstrated a clear misunderstanding of English terms regarding sanctions and software, resulting in incoherent and disconnected assertions.
In Yangon, Hip Hop music events, including the 25th anniversary celebration, are being organized by Htet Ye Naing, son of Lieutenant General Ye Win Oo, who serves as the joint secretary of the military council and chief of the Anti-Corruption Commission. This situation has prompted resistance forces to issue warnings to the public. The organization of entertainment events by family members of military council leaders during a time when people are fighting against the military dictatorship is viewed as a display of disregard for the public’s suffering.
Sixteen Myanmar youths who were arrested in Thailand and subsequently transferred to military council custody were forced into military service before managing to escape. However, four of them were recaptured by the military council. Of the remaining twelve, two successfully reached refuge with the Myeik People’s Defense Force. This incident further demonstrates the military council’s continued human rights violations and forced conscription of young people into military service. The situation highlights the ongoing practice of the military council in compelling civilians into military service against their will, while also showing how some manage to escape and seek protection with resistance forces.
