Revolutionary forces successfully launched attacks on military council positions in Salingyi town, Sagaing Region, targeting a police station and administrative office where junta troops were stationed. According to the leader of the Chindwin Dynamite People’s Defense Force, the attack was carried out using heavy weapons on March 7 at around 10 AM. The operation targeted approximately 80 military council troops using 60mm and 80mm heavy weapons.
The attacks resulted in casualties among military council forces and caused explosions within their compound. Although the junta troops responded with small arms fire, the revolutionary forces were able to withdraw safely without any casualties. The operation was jointly conducted by the Chindwin Dynamite group, Yinmabin District Battalion, Red Wing Special Guerrilla Force, and other allied resistance groups.
Additionally, resistance forces conducted a successful mine attack against military council troops who were returning from patrol duties on the Monywa-Mandalay road. On the evening of March 7, resistance forces targeted 23 junta soldiers who were transporting weapons and ammunition to the Myapyugyi checkpoint. The attack, carried out near the Monywa toll gate using Padamya mines, resulted in multiple military casualties. This operation was a coordinated effort between Chaung-U Township PDF, Special Forces 11, and Monywa Dynamite Strike Force Team. The exact number of casualties from both operations is still being verified, though reports confirm significant losses for the military council forces.
