During the assault, while the military council forces responded with small arms fire, the revolutionary forces were able to withdraw safely without casualties. The joint operation involved multiple resistance groups including the Yinmabin District Battalion, Red Wing Special Guerrilla Force, and other local defense forces. The attacking forces fired approximately 25 rounds of heavy artillery at the military positions. In a separate operation, resistance forces successfully ambushed military council troops returning from patrol duty along the Monywa-Mandalay road. The incident occurred when 23 military council soldiers, who had been providing security for a convoy transporting weapons and ammunition to Myapyugyi Gate checkpoint from the Northwest Military Command in Monywa, were returning to their base. The resistance forces employed Padaythar mines in the attack, resulting in significant casualties among the military council troops. This operation was conducted through coordination between multiple resistance groups including the Chaung-U Township PDF, Special Forces 11-LPDF, and Monywa Dynamite (STF), demonstrating the growing capabilities and coordination of resistance forces in the region.
