Revolutionary forces successfully launched attacks on military council positions in Salingyi town, Sagaing Region, targeting a police station and administrative office where junta troops were stationed. According to the leader of the Chindwin Dynamite People’s Defense Force, the attack was carried out on March 7 at around 10 AM, using 60mm and 80mm heavy weapons against approximately 80 military council troops stationed at the facilities.
During the attack, while the military council forces responded with small arms fire, the revolutionary forces were able to withdraw successfully without any casualties. The attack reportedly resulted in casualties on the military council side and explosions within their compound. The operation was jointly conducted by the Chindwin Dynamite group, Yinmabin District Battalion, Red Wing Special Guerrilla Force, and other revolutionary groups working in coordination.
Additionally, resistance forces successfully ambushed military council troops returning from patrol duties on the Monywa-Mandalay road. On the evening of March 7, when 23 soldiers who were providing security for a military convoy transporting weapons and ammunition to Myapyugyi Gate checkpoint from the Northwestern Command headquarters in Monywa were returning, they were attacked with Padamya mines. The attack resulted in multiple military casualties, though the exact numbers are still being verified. This operation was carried out through coordination between Chaung-U Township PDF forces and other revolutionary groups in the area. The successful attacks demonstrate the growing capabilities and coordination among various resistance forces in their fight against the military council in the Sagaing Region.
