Revolutionary forces conducted a coordinated attack on a military council checkpoint at Nyaung Gyat Pin village along the Pakokku-Kamma road in Pakokku Township, Magway Region, using sniper rifles and small arms on March 6 at approximately 9:30 AM. The attack resulted in two casualties among military council forces. According to a representative from the Six Senses Guerrilla Force, the military council troops and Pyu Saw Htee members had established a fixed checkpoint inside the Nyaung Gyat Pin monastery compound, where they were extorting money and collecting illegal taxes from passing civilians.
At the time of the attack, approximately 50 military council personnel were stationed at the checkpoint. The operation resulted in the death of two soldiers and left two others injured – a man and a woman believed to be members of the Pyu Saw Htee militia. The attack was carried out through a joint operation involving seven revolutionary groups: Six Senses Guerrilla Force, Earthquake People’s Defence Force, Thurain TR, Hunter Pakokku, Justice Revolution Force, Black Cheater, and Myaing PDF (Ko Hning Gway). The revolutionary forces successfully withdrew from the area without suffering any casualties.
Nyaung Gyat Pin village is located along the Pakokku-Kamma road, where the military council had established a checkpoint within the monastery compound. The revolutionary forces conducted this coordinated attack in response to the military council’s ongoing harassment and extortion of local residents and travelers. While the attack did not result in damage to buildings or structures, it successfully disrupted the military council’s operations in the area and demonstrated the effectiveness of coordinated resistance efforts. The incident represents another significant blow to the military council’s attempt to maintain control over transportation routes and local communities in the region.
